At Orchid Vale, we aim to provide a curriculum that allows all pupils to access high quality PE that develops their health, fitness and wellbeing.
We aim for all children to experience a wide variety of sports and physical skills which will enhance life-long fitness and life choices. PE can challenge and promote self-esteem through the development of physical confidence and problem-solving. It can teach children to cope with both success and failure in competitive, individual and team-based physical activities. Our school values of respect, honesty, kindness, perseverance, individuality and responsibility are embedded within our PE curriculum.
If children develop enthusiasm for physical activity at a young age – it will have a lifelong impact on their physical and mental well-being.

I like this subject because I’m into sports such as football, basketball, dodge ball and many others.
I enjoy PE because I like getting more fit and it is also let us get some more fresh air then we would get at home.
Personally, I think that the PE in Orchid Vale is very good as there is lots of different exercises and it keeps us fit during the week.
I like the challenge we are given in PE.
