Attendance at school is vital for every child in order for them to develop socially and academically.  When children feel like they belong in a school community, they thrive and learn.

At Orchid Vale, we recognise good attendance through class-based certificates and letters home.

Where there are concerns about a child's attendance, we work closely with parents and carers to try and resolve any issues that might be creating a barrier to good attendance.

Good attendance is considered to be over 96%.  This means missing fewer than 10 days in a school year.
